A Festive Atmosphere!

End of school year 2014 celebration!
It is wonderful to wrap up a successful school year in a festive atmosphere!

The year-end celebration is not only a graduation ceremony but also a time of rejoicing, a time of thanksgiving for the great harvest of the year, an opportunity to showcase the many cultural and artistic talents of our children as well as the zeal of their teachers.

It all took place in a festive atmosphere. Such was the theme of the show which allowed our pupils to develop their sense of esthetics and of community, to experience together joyous moments while getting ready to celebrate at various festivities related to beauty, goodness and truth and to cultural values and the arts. Music, song, dance, cultural skits were part of the program.

It is wonderful to wrap up a successful school year in a festive atmosphere! With our utmost congratulations, we wish them a brilliant future, continued success in all their endeavours. To their parents, we send our blessings, may you share in your children’s joy.

Nursery I

A Very Special Occasion!
The preschoolers (TPS) presented in their special way and under the supervision of Mrs. Claudia Féghali, the homeroom teacher, a dance to celebrate a birthday at the rhythm of the "Happy Birthday” song! In Mrs. Claudia’s report, we read: "Celebrating a birthday is a very special occasion. It's your birthday! Do you know why we have a party? Because we are going to celebrate the day you were born! Since that day we are so happy to have you! Every year, we celebrate your birthday to show you our joy! For your birthday we do everything to please you. We sing and join our voices to tell you how much we love you. We're all here for you to share your joy!
Your birthday is a very special occasion. We invite friends; we dress nicely; we have fun like crazy; we dance; we sing, we blow candles and eat a delicious cake! That day is a joyful and happy one celebrated with lots of gifts! Happy Birthday! Our best wishes to you! We all gathered to sing in unison: Happy Birthday! "

Nursery II

It's my birthday! It's party at home!
The Nursery students celebrate their birthday in their own way. The whole class sings an appropriate song animated by musical instruments, under the supervision of Sr. May Ghorra, the nursery homeroom teacher. Each child has his/her own instrument: tambourines, castanets, cymbals, maracas, triangles, bells, forming an amazing band. The song is heard: “I knew what I would do on my birthday. I disguise myself in Indian with feathers and it suits me well. I put red dots on my cheeks, that's it! I'm ready to play. My friends arrived and everyone is dressed: Alexandre is Zoro with a cape and a hat. The pirate is Gregory with the black headband on the eye. Caroline is a fairy with her golden wand. And the clown is Camille with his big shiny nose. The ghost is Clement hidden under a large white sheet. I asked Dad to dress up as king. The queen, of course it's mom with her dress full of ribbons."

Junior Kindergarten

We Are One!
Inspired by the song "We Are the One" (OLE OLA) my kindergarten students (MS), says Lisette Mazraani, paraded on the stage of the Providence Academy holding the flags of countries participating in the World Cup 2014! On the rhythm of the World Cup’s song, the emblem of unity and reunification, our students showed their artistic talents by performing the movements coordinated with the rhythm of the song. Despite their young age, our students have combined the three items related to the art of dance: occupation of space, rhythm and time. They interpreted through body movement the elements of energy and balance in order to gain mastery and perfection. Proud of you my toddlers! Continue to excel!

Senior Kindergarten

The Hoop Dance
In the educational activities realm, dancing is enjoyed by students; it gives them the opportunity to express their feelings, to think creatively and to develop their personal, cultural and social identity. Mrs. Fadia Kfoury had prepared the GS class to present a Pyrenees Oriental folk dance, "The hoop dance", usually performed during carnivals, with a large procession in town. Madame Kfouri, proud of her students, congratulated them for their amazing performance and their harmonious coordination between movements and gestures.
